Out of a series of well over 60.000 shots, only about 60 imaginative shots, all unique pictures, came out of one and the same flickering flame. So. Only 1 in 1000 pictures of the flame gave an obvious imaginative picture to see, besides just fire. All pictures were taken intuitively in only 1/1000 of a second to get a clean and sharp shot. Also, take in consideration that the picture was taken from 1 out of an infinite amount of different possible perpectives in that perticular moment.
Now, do the math and you'll discover the insanely high impropability of creating an identical shot of natural flaming fire ever.
1/1000 Pictures x 1/1000 of a second x 1/ infinite possible positions
=
1/infinite possibilities to create the exact same picture or close.

- "Its a nice experience to look at flames in this way. Normally I also stare into the flames and that's very calming. (Although also slightly blinding).
Now it was interesting to see the stillness of the flame in the fire and to try to see shapes in it.
How the human brain immediately starts looking for something recognizable and thus wants to decipher the 'language of fire'.
However, the flames are also beautiful in their abstraction and elusiveness of fire. Beautiful exhibition and elemental research of fire.
